Parathyroid glands

Ways of Treatment

Parathyroid gland diseases are treated with surgery. The diseased gland or glands are removed.

During the operation, the laryngeal nerves that pass there are identified with electrical stimulation so that they are not injured and a temporary or permanent laryngopharynx is created.

Diseases of the parathyroid glands mostly consist of an increase in the secretion of the hormone they produce, parathormone.

What are the causes of parathyroid disease?

They are usually due to hyperplasia, adenoma, or carcinoma of the parathyroids.
